Big news this morning/overnight from Sony with the announcement of the PS3 slim.

The next big news is the pricing and launch date for the new console – PS3 Slim will launch on September 3 in Australia and retail for $499.95. That is a price drop of $200!

In addition to the new console price drop all the old “fat” PS3 will see a price drop to the same $499.95 price point.

Hopefully now thats all the incentive people need to buy a PS3!
