While not a complete date at least we have a window… and that window is a little later than peeps were expecting. The real time strategy game was rumoured to be released at the end of 2009, but officials have let us know that 2010 is a more realistic release window.

Whats the hold up? Well there seems that Battle.net – Blizzards online matchmaking and multiplayer system has required the game to have more dev to get all the little pieces working sweet together.

None of this is really suprising though… Blizzard is known for its delays – thats what makes their games quality so much higher – they dont release anything till it is absolutly ready. That and Blizzard devs have noted that Starcraft II will need at least a 4 to 6 month beta before launch.
