Activision has announced a further 24 tracks for the upcoming Guitar Hero 5. Looking over the list, I stand by my comment in a previous post that the set list so far is probably the weakest to date.
The new tracks:
- AFI – “Medicate”
- A Perfect Circle – “Judith”
- Billy Idol – “Dancing With Myself”
- Brand New – “Sowing Season (Yeah)”
- Bush – “Comedown”
- The Derek Trucks Band – “Younk Funk”
- Duran Duran – “Hungry Like The Wolf”
- Eagles Of Death Metal – “Wannabe In L.A.”
- Gorillaz – “Feel Good Inc.”
- Gov’t Mule – “Streamline Woman”
- Grand Funk Railroad – “We’re An American Band”
- Iron Maiden – “2 Minutes To Midnight”
- King Crimson – “21st Century Schizoid Man”
- No Doubt – “Ex-Girlfriend”
- Peter Frampton – “Do You Feel Like We Do? (Live)”
- Public Enemy Featuring Zakk Wylde – “Bring the Noise 20XX”
- Rush – “The Spirit Of Radio (Live)”
- Scars On Broadway – “They Say”
- Smashing Pumpkins – “Bullet With Butterfly Wings”
- Spacehog – “In The Meantime”
- Sunny Day Real Estate – “Seven”
- T. Rex – “20th Century Boy”
- Weezer – “Why Bother?”
- Wild Cherry – “Play That Funky Music”

There are better songs on this list then the original but still as mentioned before – now that they have used up all the ‘classics’ its gettin harder to fill the set lists.
Still I wouldnt mind jammin out to:
Rush – “The Spirit Of Radio (Live)”
Iron Maiden – “2 Minutes To Midnight”
A Perfect Circle – “Judith”
and
Duran Duran – “Hungry Like The Wolf”
I definately have faith, I haven’t heard of half of these songs.. But rest assured, a week after release my itunes will have at least 30% of my unknown tracks.
Yeah, I’m not too excited over this one. I like the looks of Frampton and Grand Funk, but very few songs give me that “oh sweet!” feeling. Maybe I’m just burnt out after GH: Metallica.
